Free ATS Resume Checker for Digital Marketing Professionals

Recruiters hiring for digital marketing look for the channels you have run - SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, email - and the results you got from them, like leads, cost per acquisition or ROAS. Upload your resume to see how it reads, which digital marketing skills it shows, and what to improve before you apply.

By uploading, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy. Your CV is saved to a RoleMapr profile under the email in it, and that profile is visible to recruiters - even before you create an account.

What to highlight at your experience level

Fresher / 0-2 years

Show hands-on work - a blog you grew with SEO, a small ad campaign you ran, or social pages you managed during an internship. Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications help, but real campaigns with results matter more.

2-5 years

Show the channels and budgets you managed, and the results - leads, CPL, CAC, ROAS or organic traffic growth. Mention tracking setup, landing page tests and how you reported to clients or stakeholders.

5+ years

Show the full funnel you owned, the monthly budget, team or agency size, and how marketing contributed to revenue. Recruiters look for strategy, attribution and channel mix decisions, not just campaign execution.

Common Digital Marketing resume mistakes

  • Listing every channel and tool without saying which ones you actually ran and what results you got.
  • Reporting vanity metrics only - impressions, likes and followers - instead of leads, sales, CPL or ROAS.
  • Not mentioning budgets or scale. "Managed Google Ads" reads very differently with a monthly spend and account count.
  • Mixing agency and in-house work without saying which clients or industries you handled. Recruiters often look for experience in their domain, such as D2C, edtech or real estate.
  • Using tables, icons or two-column layouts that ATS software can misread. A simple single-column PDF is safest.

Weak vs strong resume bullet points

The strong versions say what you did, with which tool, and what changed because of it.

Weak: Handled Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns.

Strong: Managed Google Ads and Meta Ads for 6 real estate clients with a combined monthly spend of about Rs 15 lakh, restructuring campaigns by location and cutting cost per lead by roughly 30%.

Weak: Worked on SEO for the website.

Strong: Ran keyword research and on-page fixes for a SaaS blog using Google Search Console and Ahrefs, growing organic sign-ups from about 200 to 650 a month over two quarters.

Weak: Did email marketing campaigns.

Strong: Built an abandoned cart and post-purchase email flow in Klaviyo for a D2C skincare brand, which brought in about 8% of monthly online revenue within three months.

Frequently asked questions

Which certifications help a digital marketing resume?

Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications (from Google Skillshop), Meta Blueprint and HubSpot Academy certifications are well known and free or low cost. They help freshers get noticed, but recruiters still look for campaigns you ran and the results.

How do I write a digital marketing resume with no experience?

Run something small yourself - a blog, an Instagram page or a small ad campaign for a local business - and write down what you did and what happened. Add certifications and any internship work. Real numbers, even small ones, read better than a list of skills.

Is this resume checker free?

Yes. You can upload your resume and see the results without creating an account. If you sign up later with the same email, the full report and your job matches are saved to your profile.

What does the checker look at?

It reads your resume the way an ATS and a recruiter would: the role it fits, your experience level, the skills it finds, and how clearly your work and results come across. You get strengths and areas to improve.

What happens to my resume after I upload it?

It is saved to a RoleMapr profile under the email in your resume, and that profile is visible to recruiters looking for candidates. We email that address a link to remove it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.
