What does a resume analyzer do?
A resume analyzer (or CV analyser) reads your resume the way recruiters and screening software do. RoleMapr's instantly shows the role your resume fits, your experience level, your resume, formatting and skills scores, and the main strengths and areas to improve. Your full ATS score is in the free signed-in report.
Is the CV analysis really free?
Yes. The instant analysis needs no account. A free RoleMapr account adds your full ATS score with its breakdown, the skills to learn next and personalised recommendations.
Which file formats are supported?
Upload your resume as a PDF, up to 10 MB. A text-based PDF (exported from Word, Google Docs or a resume builder) works best; scanned images can't be read reliably.
What is the difference between the Resume Analyzer and the ATS Score Checker?
They use the same instant check. The ATS Score Checker page explains ATS scores and how to raise yours; this page covers the whole analysis - role, level, scores, strengths and areas to improve.
Can it analyse my resume for a specific role?
Yes. Open the resume checker page for your role - for example Data Analyst or Software Developer - and upload your CV there to also see how well it fits that role, along with the skills recruiters look for in it.
How accurate is the analysis?
The analysis is automated and meant as guidance. It's based on the skills, structure and experience it can read from your CV, so a clean, text-based layout gives the most accurate result. Recruiters still make the final judgement.
What happens to my resume after the analysis?
It's used to run the analysis and, if you create an account, for your profile and job matches. Our Privacy Policy explains how resumes are stored and who can see them.
